The article claims that B. macrophylla is unresolved. It is true that the source (The Plant List) gives this status, but it notes that this is a technical status given because of conflicting data in the underlying sources. The taxobox lists the species as a synonym Polygonum macrophyllum, which is an accepted species. The two being synonyms is supported by other sources, with no clear agreement as to what is the accepted name for the species.

Several of the sources are refering to Polygonum, not Bistorta. Thus it seems to me that this article is about B. macrophylla (syn P. macrophyllum), or alternatively P. macrophyllum (syn B. macrophylla). Thus the mention of the "unresolved" status can be removed.
