Organization of Article

[edit]

Hi folks,

I think this article could be improved by a slightly different organization structure. The lead primarily is focusing on urban feral pigeons and bird spikes. This information definitely belongs in the article, but bird control is a much larger topic than just bird spikes and pigeons. I wonder whether there shouldn't be a section for bird control in different contexts (i.e., urban, agricultural, airport, etc.), which would allow this context-specific info to be moved out of the lead. Restructure mostly completed, as of today. For now, I think sticking to the different methods of bird control is appropriate. DuckWrangler97 (talk) 17:43, 30 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Merge Proposal

Pages are prepared for merge -- I've moved all sourced, relevant information over from bird scarer. As there as been no dissent over the past two weeks, I will proceed with the merge.DuckWrangler97 (talk) 19:02, 30 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

I propose merging Bird scarer into this article, Bird control. Bird scarers are devices that are used for bird control, and there will necessarily be a great deal of redundancy between the two. DuckWrangler97 (talk) 16:06, 18 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
