Why is this page written in the (anonymous) first person?

Agreed. The portions above the biography section are entirely inappropriate. What battle?! (for example) Will see if anyone wishes to discuss this. If not, I'm giving them the chop. Shn525 (talk) 11:28, 3 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

I created the "Biography" section with info from the obit on latimes.com. I also deleted a couple of paragraphs that were obviously written for a PR release and aren't relevant, anyway, now that he's dead. DL77 18:06, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
