JK Rowling

[edit]

I really don't think it appropriate to ask if he was in any way related to JK Rowling.

I agree. It seems to be pretty mindless speculation. It might be slightly interesting if there is evidence that he was related to JK Rowling, but I think it's pointless to say: "It's not clear whether he's related to..."
As far-fetched as this sounds, I attend school with his grand-daughter. Prior to the first Harry Potter book being released, they received a letter from her, detailing that she had found out that she had relatives in New Zealand. I won't change the passage because I can't really prove it as I don't have the letter, but I thought I'd post anyway. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:203.173.135.21
You shouldn't post anything you "can't really prove" (your words). Moriori 06:10, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
That doesn't sound far fetched at all as I went to that same school (though she no longer actually goes there). I was good friends with her and they (the Rowling family) were definitely related to J K Rowling, albeit distantly. Just out of curiousity, what proof do you require to post on Wikipedia? We have the word of Bill Rowling's family, surely that's enough. The Government's Acronym (talk) 06:22, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
