Taking a look at Google searches to compare which name is more commonly used:

1. Searching "Bill Meakes" rugby yielded about 15,100 results.

2. Searching "Billy Meakes" rugby yielded about 78 results.

Team profile pages (and his LinkedIn page) use 'Bill Meakes' as do the vast majority of media reports. -- Ham105 (talk) 15:38, 26 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Apologies, Melbourne Rebels latest squad list for the Melbourne Rising listed his name as 'Billy'^[1] and have seen him named as that on twitter and other sources, maybe a recent change, but will wait for longer to see if it becomes more commonly used, his personal twitter account^[2] states him as 'Billy' though as well. -- Harriesss (talk) 18:45, 26 August 2018 (BST)
