OK. I get it. It appears Bill Boner is a controversial person whom people either love or hate. I have been editing for Wikipedia since 2007 and other dictionaries for decades in my profession. This article is by far the worst example of self-authoring I have ever seen. Some of the information was incredibly derogatory while other information was overly flattering. How that information has been allowed to remain in this article in Wikipedia for so long, I cannot say. But I will say it is disturbing. Please understand that as editors, we simply locate major facts about our subjects, paraphrase that information into paragraphs, and at the end of each sentence, if possible, include a proper citation from a reputable third-party source. We do not write what we think in Wikipedia. Our opinions, and even the facts we know absolutely to be true have no meaning and no place in a Wikipedia article. If you know a fact and want it included, find a reputable third-party source that also found the fact interesting enough to publish and use it! I have trimmed this article and rid it of most of the self-authored content. There are still sections that need sources and there is still some bad writing in there, including a sentence that doesn't even make sense. I will get to that as soon as I can. I welcome veteran editors to help me clean up this article, including finding sources where none exist thus far. All the best to all of you. MarydaleEd (talk) 06:41, 8 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
