Namespace

[edit]

Not sure what justification the article had for being moved from "Bilen", where it was obviously started. The formerly common English name was "Bogo" and the people are now known as the Bilen. Kindly supply evidence that "Blin" &c. is more common before moving it back and, if you do move it to Blin, change the text to match the namespace. — LlywelynII 07:15, 20 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Is it ብሊና or ብሊን?

[edit]

This article says ብሊና, but I also see ብሊን is some places.

What is correct? --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 15:48, 31 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Overturning tradition (Latin v. Ge'ez script)

[edit]

The current state of the article quotes a reference indicating the "This overturned a 110-year tradition of writing Blin in Ethiopic script." Although a quote from the reference, the paper clearly identifies milestones in the use the Ge'ez script for Bilen, with the first "native speaker" use not being identified until 1939 (cutting the tradition's duration in half). In addition, it seems the corpus of text in Bilen is limited. Should this quote be removed and neutrally substituted with accurate text (e.g., "Bilen had first been written using the Ge'ez script by a native speaker in 1939.").
