This might be worth mentioning:

In February 2025, Beitar USA publicly called for the murder of Peter Beinart. They wrote on Twitter: “We urge all Jews on the Upper West Side to give Peter Beinart a pager. He is a traitor, a kapo and we must oppose him,” referencing the near-simultaneous explosion of 3,000 to 4,000 pagers that Israel used to attack Hezbollah activists in Lebanon. @Zero0000: @Babel fish: During that Pager Campaign Betar gave Norman Finkelstein a pager. Put a paper in his jacket pocket and threatened him verbally. It was wrote in "Betar US"; and deleted by User:IOHANNVSVERVS :

In 2025, Betar US started what was dubbed the "Pager Campaign" following Israel’s 2024 Lebanon electronic device attacks, where members put pagers in the pockets of or thretened to give pagers to people they percieved as anti-Israel – targeting prominent personalities like United Nations secretary-general António Guterres, Jewish writer Peter Beinart, and Jewish political scientist Norman Finkelstein. Beinart characterized it as a death threat

Description of suggested change: The source that "Betar was inspired by fascists" is completely biased, from a severely obscure source, and unfactual. Not only is the source inaccurate and misleading, but the Betar actually encouraged resistance from fascism. Diff:

Edit request on classification of Betar

Hello,

I would like to request a clarification or update to the classification of the Betar movement in the lead section of the article. Currently, it is described solely as a “youth movement.” While historically Betar began as a youth movement, today it is composed primarily of adults and operates as a broader ideological and activist organization.

Suggested revision: Current:

“Betar (Hebrew: בית”ר) is a Revisionist Zionist youth movement founded in 1923…”

Proposed:

“Betar (Hebrew: בית”ר) is a Revisionist Zionist movement, originally founded as a youth organization in 1923, which today includes both youth and adults among its active membership.”

This change more accurately reflects Betar’s present-day composition and activities without disregarding its origins. Please let me know if sources are needed to support this clarification, and I would be happy to provide them.
