Help! Sorry! Accidental deletion! (section Prisoner of War)

I made an edit that was intended to add wikilink as described in the Edit History but I find that strangely, for reasons I am at a loss to explain, I appear to have accidentally deleted some text in the narrative of his Great Escape journey, as it details I deleted 1,060 characters, when I was expecting a net addition! Here is the fractured text, could someone who has previously worked on this reconstruct?:

Digging a high [text break] Criminal Police (Kripo) and taken to the Gestapo HQ in the town.

No vandalism was intended. From reading other online accounts it appears that between leaving Stalag Luft III and being back in German custody he and the Greek RAF pilot Sotiris Skanzikas got as far as a town called Hirschberg south of Sagan where they were discovered and arrested.Cloptonson (talk) 10:02, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
