can we use cc-by-2?

I blockquoted from Race and Slavery Petitions, Digital Library on American Slavery. University of North Carolina Greensboro (uncg.edu) - link: https://dlas.uncg.edu/petitions/petition/16549/ because it says "Cc-by-2.0" at the bottom of the page. I read the linked guidelines and it seemed Ok to use with attribution. Is that incorrect? LMK. Hey IM3847 - the block quote you removed was tagged cc-by-2 at the bottom of the source page. Is that copyrighted? My reading of the Creative Commons description was that it was shareable but maybe I misunderstood. And first two sentences of the paragraph were just summaries, with citations, of information about him. LMK what you think is best to do. jengod (talk) 07:25, 21 September 2023 (UTC)

Hi, It can be done, but you need to give attribution to the Original Author/Publisher. CC-By-2 is a share-a-like with attribution license and yes you can. You can add the content, but proper attribution to be provided --iMahesh (talk) 07:40, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
