"U.S." is a POV usage used by people who don't like "American" because they're afraid of offending people. It's our country, our nationality. RickK 07:38, May 22, 2005 (UTC)

I use it because I like it. So does the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Congress too. And before you say "those don't count", just remember there is no "France Army" or "Mexico Army". Relevance of Mary Jane Eaton paragraph?

I think this paragraph is of minimal relevance to the article. This is not a genealogy, and does not even reference a direct descendant (and Eaton has many). Any objections to deletion? Hipgnostic (talk) 03:09, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
