Request to restore infobox and update recent credits

[edit]

As a disclosed COI editor (spouse), I am requesting two factual updates to bring the article in line with standard biographical formatting and reflect recent professional activity. === 1. Add Infobox === I suggest adding the standard biographical infobox to the top of the article.

=== 2. Update Lead Paragraph === I suggest updating the lead to reflect standard biographical details and recent film activity. Proposed text: Ben Sharples (born July 22, 1974) is an American actor, screenwriter, producer, and director. He is known for his role as Jack Hafey in the horror film Flight 7500 (2014) and is set to appear as Elmquist in the upcoming crime thriller film Crime 101 (2026).[1] Thank you for your review. ~~~~ Marissahall (talk) 18:44, 24 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request: Addition of Filmography Table

[edit]

Thank you for restoring the infobox. To further improve the article's structure in line with Wikipedia's biographical guidelines, I would like to request the addition of a standard filmography table. I have focused this list on notable credits that have existing Wikipedia entries or pending drafts.

Thank you for your help. Since the theatrical release of Crime 101 (Feb 13, 2026), it has been confirmed that the character "Elmquist" was removed from the final cut. To ensure accuracy, I would like to simplify and revise my previous request:
Please remove the sentence at the end of the Career section regarding Crime 101.
Please omit the Crime 101 entry from the proposed filmography table.
Essentially, I am requesting the filmography table as previously listed, but without the Crime 101 row.
Thank you! Marissahall (talk) 18:05, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Marissahall: -- I've added the films, but better sources are needed for X's & O's and Ball Don't Lie. See Wikipedia:Citing IMDb ... because IMDb has loose editorial control its reliability is disputed. On both of those films, his role was deep in the cast list, so the lack of a strong source might lead a reader to conclude that these performances were not his most notable.
I've marked some other places were sources, or better sources, are needed. (The Sundance Kidd is blog.) If you can locate more sources, you can request to have them added. See also WP:Reliable Sources.
I'll look at the television credits next. Fiske (talk) 23:25, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've added two of the three TV credits. For Gentlemen's Fury: Reloaded the two sources are both database listings, and a stronger source would help.
I did not add the 90210 role because I could not find a source other than his own IMDb, and that says the role was uncredited. That's a tough one, and I can see that his tennis background would have made him an ideal casting choice.
I've also added his IMDb as an external link on the article.
I am going to close this request, but if you find additional sources please make a new edit coi request. Fiske (talk) 23:50, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
