• Support. I had long been considering making this proposal, but had not checked the numbers recently. For a while, I had not been able to find a consistent standard, but after some NHL experience, it seems clear the shorter nickname is preferred. As a Penguins fan who watches probably 80% or more of their games a year, I can vouch that his own team's broadcasters tend to call him Ben. mftp dan ^oops 14:54, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
