The image demonstrates halftoning and not benday dots (according to the article itself). Can anyone produce a corrected image?

So wrong
[edit]Most of this article is superficial and wrong. It doesn't even begin to explain how the process actually worked and what it could achieve. One of the defining characteristics of the original benday process as used into the 1940's is that the pattern (not necessarily dots) could be varied considerably by the technician, using an adjustable frame, repeated applications with slight registration changes and varying pressure in the application stylus. In skilled hands it was an extremely sophisticated process, yielding continuous-tone effects, and not that far removed in principle from pressure-sensitive tablet technology today.
