Hi, I'm working with The Pulitzer Center, a non-profit journalism agency geared towards providing audience to underrepresented news stories. I'd like to link this page to a few related articles on the Pulitzer site; http://www.pulitzercenter.org/showproject.cfm?id=23 concerning the Beja’s conflict in Sudan, Please let me know if I can post these links. Many thanks in advance. Blendus 05:13, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Can someone explain what “Beja nationalism” means? Bakeduranium (talk) 17:58, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Well, not in defense of what's here (which I did not add), but as someone with direct knowledge of Beja politics: Some people would very much like to see an independent Beja nation-state, comprising a significant portion of the Eastern Sudan. Many others would like to see the Sudan adopt a Federalist framework in which Beja people had significantly greater self-government. The Beja Congress for most of its history has advocated positions close to the latter. I'm not sure what the hopes were during the period of armed resistance.
