This link was added to the article after discussion on the WP Reliable Sources Noticeboard. See: WP:RSN exercise. No information from the CCHT link has been put into the body of the article in the form of citations because it has not yet been verified for 100% accuracy by the Victoria County History project for Cumbria. baronetcy should be restored

The lands and title of the last baronet Roger de Betham were confiscated by the Cromwell government because he was a Royalist. Then a few years later was the restoration (James II). At this point the lands - or at least the baronetcy and title - should have been restored to the family Betham. They were not. This is still a sore point with the primogenitor descendants.
