The content of Bayer Schering Pharma was merged into Bayer. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. For the discussion at that location, see its talk page.
Bayer's statement for reference: A subsidiary of Bayer has been operating a phosphate mine in the USA for many years. Phosphorus is fundamentally a key raw material for numerous industrial applications, including battery production for electric vehicles and the manufacture of specialty chemicals. The majority of the phosphorus produced by Bayer is used for the production of crop protection products. A portion of the phosphorus is sold to a limited number of third parties and used for various industrial purposes, such as fire extinguishing agents or aviation fuels. These third parties are contractually prohibited from reselling elemental phosphorus for military purposes. Currently, Bayer does not supply phosphorus to the U.S. government. Due to an Executive Order by the U.S. president, Bayer is required to do so in the future. Bayer does not supply phosphorus to the Israeli military. We (Bayer Communications) would like to implement a paragraph about Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) which has changed the organization drastically over the last years:
In January 2024, Bayer introduced an operating model known as Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) under chief executive Bill Anderson.[1] The reorganization reduced management layers and shifted decision-making responsibilities from managers to teams operating in 90-day planning cycles.[2][3] According to Bayer, the program reduced organizational layers from 12 to 7, reduced management positions by more than two-thirds, accelerated the speed of product launches, and generated savings.[4]
