Over time, we should working to get this article to GA status. It is not bad as it is, and I think it could get there with a few months of steady work. The best models to follow as templates for how this article should look are Captain America and Spider-Man, because Captain America is the only Golden Age comics hero to get to featured article status and because Spider-Man is a character of similar popularity who's gotten to Good Article.
Sourcing here is in dire need of improvement; there is still original research. There shouldn't be anything here that doesn't cite some kind of source. Next, primary sources need to be replaced with secondary sources. And third, eventually low quality secondary sources (like CBR or ScreenRant or whatever) need to be replaced with more Reliable Sources (by Wikipedia's metric).
With Batman I think one of the big difficulties is that the character is so venerable and popular that it's hard to know what to include for a general article. I think it's a good rule of thumb to include info about the supporting characters that have been adapted in the film series and to a lesser degree in the animated series -- this page is almost entirely about the original comics version of the character, but the adaptations give an indication of what is considered "essential" by the general public. I also think it makes sense to try to view the history from the perspective of the popular present-day stories about the character; e.g. the Grant Morrison period and the Scott Snyder period. Batman in Justice League TV series extracted from a video from an official DC channel on YouTube. The copyright owner of the game released the video under the Creative Commons Attribution (3.0 Unported) license.
That image is of poor quality and is not reflective of the comic book character, which is the main subject of this article. Just because it exists does not mean it is better. Images extracted from YouTube videos are questionable at best. —Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs)15:40, 23 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
