2025 UK Tour

[edit]

The UK 2025 tour seems to be based more on the Australian arena tour than the previous UK musical tour. There is a live band, the staging has been pared back, and the show is much more of a Jim Steinman/Meat Loaf jukebox musical with the cast using handheld mics.

Most of the story has gone and there's much less dialogue, just the basic core plot line remains to string the songs together. For example we no longer know why the lost boys are 18 forever, and almost all of Tink's story is removed (including the song "Not Allowed To Love").

This review has some info: https://theedinburghreporter.co.uk/2025/01/review-bat-out-of-hell-%E2%AD%90%EF%B8%8F%E2%AD%90%EF%B8%8F/

I hope someone who is more informed can add proper information about this to the article. I have just seen the show once and saw the previous UK version twice, and was disappointed with the new version. Thank you. 2A02:8012:80E3:0:DD0A:69B5:29A2:C6A5 (talk) 12:01, 5 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
