T.C. Harrison did not own Baslow Hall. (Thomas Cuthbert Harrison of TC Harrison Motors which he founded is a Ford main dealer with many locations). The Harrison connection to Baslow was that of his son John Francis Harrison who purchased and renovated Over Lane House which is in close proximity.
Baslow Hall was purchased from the Kenning estate by John Gough Clixby. Due to the suicide, nobody wanted to buy until JG came along. JG was a commercial painter and decorator who had a business in Sheffield. He was never a stockbroker, he did participate in a London insurance underwriting syndicate at one time.
The Fischer family did purchase Baslow Hall but it nearly burnt down during renovations to make it a hotel / restaurant. ~2026-23846-60 (talk) 08:18, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
