@RLB at King's College:, specifically to which sentence/paragraph? Also, can you provide a secondary reliable source as opposed to the primary source?--CNMall41 (talk) 06:19, 14 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. Under the appointments section, amend the second sentence of the first paragraph. In terms of secondary sources, this is referenced independently by The Royal Society. See citation: https://royalsociety.org/people/bashir-al-hashimi-36251/ RLB at King's College (talk) 09:04, 16 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I hope this secondary source is enough to make this minor edit. Thank you. RLB at King's College (talk) 13:42, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
With a secondary source available, is it okay to make this change do you think? RLB at King's College (talk) 08:30, 27 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. Under the appointments section, amend the second sentence of the first paragraph. In terms of secondary sources, this is referenced independently by The Royal Society. See citation: https://royalsociety.org/people/bashir-al-hashimi-36251/

Recommended minor update now progressed with primary source citation and verified with a secondary source reference as advised. Hope that's all okay to clear earlier request. Thank you. RLB at King's College (talk) 13:37, 10 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Engineers 2030

[edit]

Suggested inclusion of citation for Engineers 2030 following launch event on 05 November: https://www.raeng.org.uk/news/engineers-2030-final-report-launched/

This is also reflected in a King's College London news story: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/news/kings-celebrates-engineering-skills-report-launch-in-the-house-of-lords

Consider referencing as sources at the end of the first paragraph. Image included:

At the UK House of Lords on 5 November 2025, launching Engineers 2030, a national programme for future engineering and technical skills

Not done It is unclear what the publication of the report changes in itself, even if it's in the House of Lords. It does not in any way guarantee that any of the recommendations will be implemented. If it leads to something of substance then ping me back. Szmenderowiecki (talk · contribs) 17:05, 11 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

The Royal Academy of Engineering (the UK's national engineering academy) confirms on its website that Al-Hashimi is the chair of its international committee. See: https://raeng.org.uk/about-us/trustee-board-governance-committees-and-operating-committees/international-committee/

This is also referenced additionally by King's College as a secondary source. See citation: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/professor-bashir-al-hashimi

Recommend sentence at end of first biographical paragraph to say: He also chairs the UK Royal Academy of Engineering's International CommitteeRLB at King's College (talk) 17:07, 11 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Kings College London has confirmed a new job title for Prof. Sir Bashir M. Al-Hashimi, i.e. Senior Vice President (Research & Special Initiatives), King’s College London.

This has now been publicised via his refreshed institutional web profile here: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/professor-bashir-al-hashimi

It is also confirmed by an independent secondary source here: https://royalsociety.org/people/bashir-al-hashimi-36251/

Recommended that Al-Hashimi's job title in the opening paragraph is updated accordingly to read "He is Senior Vice President (Research & Special Initiatives) and ARM Professor of Computer Engineering at King's College London in the United Kingdom"RLB at King's College (talk) 12:24, 15 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
