Explanatory sections?

[edit]

Will this have notes/short explanatory sections? I don't see how this list can work without explanations. --Kleinzach 13:39, 10 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Copied from the template talk: "I started the article, based on the above, all improvements welcome. Ideally every instrument and "family" deserve some prose. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:46, 9 June 2013 (UTC)" --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:59, 10 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

FYI, the lituus is used by Bach in BWV 118 O Jesu Christ, meins Lebens Licht See listed at www.bach-cantatas.com I noticed there was no entry beside it. Russ Davis 14:01 02 March 2016  Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.78.229.210 (talk) 19:02, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

This article is poorly formatted

I made it look more like others, but can't your mind. Perhaps be a bit more specific. You can also format yourself. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:20, 26 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Why the Example use by Bach

[edit]

First the format of this article is a little bit off to me and could use some organization work. Then in your table you have a section called example use by Bach the only problem I have is that almost all the instruments don't have an example. If you are going to specifically use Bach find examples for each instrument not just five or six. You also say multiple composers, but do not proceed to name more than just Bach. This sounds more like an article about the instruments that Bach used in instrumentation rather than an article about the Baroque time period instruments.
