I'm not certain of the heirs. I've taken the heir from [] but this can't confirm 100% that the son is paternal and born in wedlock though I suspect it would have been commented on it it had not been.Any one able to confim those details? Alci12 17:59, 13 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I removed the name of Harry Harbord-Hamond from the page. I believe the next in line to the titles is the heir apparent's brother Hon. John Edward Richard Harbord-Hamond (b. 1956). Tryde 20:42, 6 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose merging John Harbord, 8th Baron Suffield into Baron Suffield. Most of the content of John Harbord, 8th Baron Suffield is genealogical information which would inherently be covered in Baron Suffield already. John Harbord, 8th Baron Suffield has a void of substantive biographical information about John Harbord's own life and is poorly sourced, the only cited source being a page from cracroftspeerage.co.uk, which is a deprecated self-published peerage website. The most prominent section of John Harbord, 8th Baron Suffield is his coat of arms, which already appears here in Baron Suffield and thus would not need to be repeated in a merge. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 23:51, 19 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Support merger as described. Joyous! | Talk 05:28, 22 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
There was some significant opposition to the merger at Talk:John Harbord, 8th Baron Suffield, so I'm not going to proceed with it for now. But the problems with the article remain. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 16:38, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
