Flag of Barga Mongols
[edit]I've recently stumbled upon a article about Manlaibaatar Damdinsüren, who is of Barga origin and there was said, that he gave some sort of his flag to Bogd Khan as a present. I found and vectorised this flag, but is it appropriate to add it to this article? Link to the article and the flag I can't show because I am new to Wikipedia and I don't know how to upload

[edit]@Nifushi, The sources cited include the Great Russian Encyclopedia as well as works by historians with academic degrees. These sources clearly fall under the criteria of WP:RS and WP:SCHOLAR. There is no WP:OR involved, as all quotations and sources are properly provided. Your removal of the Mongolic version, rather than my edits, is what violates the rules set out in WP:NPOV. - User:Nifushi, please explain the particular reasoning behind your assertions that these additions were original research. Remsense 🌈 论 04:39, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Nifushi, According to WP:OR, "original research means material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published source exists." In this case, there is no WP:OR. In my case, I cited a tertiary source with a direct quotation — the Great Russian Encyclopedia — which clearly provides the names of authors and references to the literature. Nevertheless, you treated this as WP:OR. That is why I added the sources cited by the GRE directly into the article text. And now you accuse me of POV pushing, even though I did not remove the Turkic version — I only added the Mongolic hypothesis, which is likewise supported by reliable academic sources. Presenting both perspectives is precisely what WP:NPOV requires: reflecting the balance of views in scholarship rather than suppressing one side.
- And you moved the text about the Mongolic hypothesis to the very end of the article, which closely resembles an example of WP:JDLI. KoizumiBS (talk) 06:44, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
