The 1911 info is really not helpful here; the state of ethnolinguistic and anthropological knowledge of this part of the world was very poor then, compared to today, and this means that articles on subjects like this are not really reliable or verifiable. —mark✎ 08:47, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
To give but one example, the idea that the Nubians are of Hamitic-Berber stock, apart from being simply false, is entirely useless today; Hamitic as opposed to Semitic has been proven a baseless hypothesis (both, together with Berber, have been merged into Afro-Asiatic nowadays) and the Nile-Nubians have come from the south and have Nilo-Saharan origins.
