The name
[edit]Can someone explain the etymology of the name? IIRC, it comes from the chicken breed called Bantam, small chickens that were (formerly?) used often in cockfights. Technically incorrect on boxing
[edit]The boxing section details are technically incorrect, since it at least implies that there is a lower limit on the division. Boxing divisions don’t have technical lower limits. Only upper limits, except heavyweightS which have no limit at all. So for example, if a guy weighs 110 pounds but is good enough to compete with 118 pounders, he could fight at bantamweight without gaining weight. Cowboydan76 (talk) 16:16, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
