I have removed the phrase dismantling of the welfare state, as it is false. Whatever the difference in welfare provision between now and before the Thatcher governments, the welfare state most certainly has not been dismantled. This article should provide a better link between the Conservative governments and trade union banners than that. Tozznok (talk) 22:10, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
