The writer of this article is a " Dum or Naayi" in one of the villages of the Bangashes.

The author of this article has no knowledge about the Bangash tribe and he belongs to the family of " Dumaan or Nayaan " of the Bangashes.

Constant Adjusting of Article

I'm sorry but someone keeps changing the information ( because the author of this article about the Bangash tribe have zero knowledge of history) on this page and replacing it with incorrect and unverified material. First give real facts about the history of Bangash tribe. Instead of writing gossips from Tirrah , you should give scientific evidence about your stories. The Bangash tribe stretches from Khost , Parachinar to the far ends of Kohat division and some live in India as well. Some Pashtuns inhabit the Rudain, Kaimganj and Farrukhabad regions in India, most notable of whom were the Nawabs of Farrukhabad who established their own colony. Distribution

On 10 July 2012, IP editor 182.177.8.163 altered the description in the lead as to where the tribe lives.

They inhabit the Miranzai Valley as well as Kohat, Kurram Agency, Waziristan, and Bannu in northwestern Pakistan. On the other side of the Durand Line border in neighboring Afghanistan, a larger number of Bangash are scattered in the northeastern section of the Ghazni, Khost, Paktika and Paktia provinces.

Although that enlarged description may be more correct, it no longer matches the text provided by those who cited sources. Therefor, I have restored the previous text that does presumedly match.

False information

Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 3 February 2026

I'm from Bangash Tribe, and i heard it for this first time in my life, You can't put anyone with matching name to anyone. This guy is someone else a normal guy with just a name Banga. Only story we are familiar is that we are descendent of Khalid Bin Walid (R.A).

The part I'm referring to, kindly remove it: "But they are most likely descended from their Tribe Name Originator Banga who was a friend of Sikandar Shah (Orakzai) became the closest to the ruler of Kohat. After the ruler died he tried to secure the throne and betrayed his childhood best friend Sikandar Shah (Ancestor of Orakzais) as written in the Book History of Pathans, by Haroon Rashid, Volume-IV p-52).[1]"

And just read it again it the "After the ruler died he tried to secure the throne and betrayed his childhood best friend Sikandar Shah".

After the ruler died he tried to secure the throne, how the hell securing throne after DEATH is betrayal? And one more word "most likely?" what ? the last editor just edited it based on guess?

And this line which makes no sense: "who was a friend of Sikandar Shah (Orakzai) became the closest to the ruler of Kohat."

Banga guy how he became "Childhood Best friend"?

Please kindly add full details with valid history links, like a chain. or remove it completely.
