Executive Order 206
[edit]An unidentified user keeps on editing this article, erroneously claiming that President Ferdinand Marcos enacted Executive Order 206, which amended the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines thereby allowing balikbayan boxes to be duty-free. Executive Order 206, which was signed on 30 June 1987, was enacted by President Corazon Aquino, NOT Marcos, as per my source (http://www.lawphil.net/executive/execord/eo1987/eo_206_1987.html). I'm calling on the user to stop vandalizing this article by putting erroneous entries. - 180.232.120.237 (talk) 10:09, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
Literal translation alternate proposal
[edit]According to 99% Invisible, “balikbayan” can translate to homecoming-I think this could be mentioned in some way. (the source I cited I believe is trustworthy to the best of my knowledge.) ~2026-20446-36 (talk) 08:36, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
