– Don't think there's a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC here, only gets ~1,500 views compared to others (most notably Kemi Badenoch). Jeffrey34555 (talk) 00:05, 1 May 2026 (UTC) — Relisting. 1isall (talk | contribs) 00:17, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Weak support Kemi is a PTM but gets 137,987 views compared with only 1,187[] for the Scottish place. Maybe move to Badenoch, Scotland as the article suggests it's a current area rather than just a former district. Crouch, Swale (talk) 21:04, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:LTS. The region from which the name derives comes first in terms of long-term significance. Zacwill (talk) 17:21, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
That's not exactly how long-term significance works. A topic being the first to bear a name does not count towards whether it is primary. 1isall (talk | contribs) 00:18, 8 May 2026 (UTC)- And that's not what Zacwill said! -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:36, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

- Weak support. Most people who search for "Badenoch" today will be looking for Kemi, and sending them straight to the dab page makes sense. For the name of the article on the district, Badenoch, Scotland is probably best - WP:SCOTLANDPLACE advises against using "Highland" as a disambiguator (so, Badenoch, Highland is not compliant), but I think we should indicate the location of the district in the title. - Oppose. The region is still the primary topic by long-term significance. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:35, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- Note: WikiProject Scotland has been notified of this discussion. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 05:40, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- Comment I think the argument goes both ways here. On the hand one, the change makes sense for it being primary in terms of usage, ie the place in Scotland is not what most readers search. On the other hand, the long-term significance is Badenoch, the place in Scotland from which the other Badenochs take their name, including one presumes Hamish Badenoch's family, the husband of Kemi. Coldupnorth (talk) 08:16, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose. The others are all partial title matches and when you discount the WP:RECENTISM bias in favour of Kemi Badenoch and add in the fact the name Badenoch is apparently derived from the district (long-term significance boost) I'm not convinced there is enough here to give a collection of PTMs the edge over the district. ⹃Maltazarian ᚾparleyinvestigateᛅ 06:45, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
