change Talamalai Hills which links to some unrelated province in Algeria to Thalaimalai Hills, which doesn't have a page yet but is more accurate and does not link to some unrelated region in North Africa Cyrohdn3 (talk) 10:23, 15 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Badaga movements from old Mysore region to current Nilgiris due to Mohammedian invasion, political unrests, etc: Badagas have moved into Nilgiris from various routes. Route 1 of Porangadu Seemey people: Thalamalai to Karamadai to Sirumugai to Dananayakan kottai to Kotagiri ( 7 brothers & 1 sister family) Route 2 of Todanadu Seemey people : Terkanambi to Gundlepet to Anaikatti to Kadanad

Terkanambi to Kalhatti ghats to Kadanad/Solur

Route 3 of Kundah/Ketti people  : Terkanambi to Gundlepet to Poosa Kunnur to Ketti to Kundah regions Route 4 of Mekkunadu people  : Talamalai to Sirumugai to Melur In Badaga oral traditions, their ancestral places - Tayur, Tagadur, Ummatur, Suttur, etc are invoked. In Badaga ancestral, harvest festivals, ancestors names are invoked along with the ancestral places. History of Badaga can ve well understood by visting the first families of 34 Hakka-Bakka Oorus. All the badaga hatties have origins only from these Hakka-Bakka oorus.
