Health Concerns Clarification on "Uncured" and "No Nitrate" Bacon

Hi! I am new to editing here on Wikipedia. Upon reading this article, I'd like to submit the following addition for the Health Concern section to further clarify claims around "uncured" "nitrate free" bacon as there is currently lack of context around the health effects of these other versions of this meat: “Products labeled as ‘uncured’ or ‘no nitrates or nitrites added’ bacon may use naturally occurring nitrates from sources such as celery powder; these compounds can be converted into nitrites during processing and are chemically similar to added nitrites.” ^[1]^[2] MyaPearson (talk) 00:08, 24 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
