Who's behind BDM?
[edit]The article gives the impression that BDM is a proprietary standard solely used by Motorola/Freescale. Is this true? --Abdull (talk) 12:01, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
The term "Background Debug Mode" is used in other contexts but the BDM interface was specifically made by Motorola and continued to be used when bought by Freescale. There are no implementations of the BDM interface outside of Freescale/Motorola. -- GravisZro (talk) 04:52, 9 March 2014 (UTC)

Other chips that support BDM?
[edit]The article reads like a lot of it was C/Ped from motorola/freescale/NXP documentation, which seems to be limited to the 8 bit micros based on the references section. BDM was also used on some of the 32 bit micros, particularly much of the CPU32 architecture (e.g. 68331, 68332, 68336, etc.), if I'm not mistaken 50.224.140.6 (talk) 22:23, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
