"Bachelor of Computing (B.Comp) is a bachelor's degree in Computing. This degree is offered only in some universities, and is slightly, but significantly, different than a B.Sc. in Computer Science or a B.CS.. The following definition of Computing is given in the ACM report Computing As a Discipline: The discipline of computing is the systematic study of algorithmic processes that describe and transform information: their theory, analysis, design, efficiency, implementation, and application. The fundamental question underlying all the computing is 'What can be (efficiently) automated?' "

• How is any different than B.CS.? Throughout my four years at University of Waterloo's Bachelor of Computer Science program, we did exactly what the ACM report covers. Programming design theory, analysis, and implementation. Here's a citation of a definition of a B.CS. program:

Computer Science is centred around the study of information. It is concerned with the nature and properties of information, its structure and classification, its storage and retrieval, and the various types of processing to which it can be subjected. It is also concerned with the physical machines that perform these operations, with the elemental units of which these machines are composed, with the organization of these units into efficient information processing systems, and with the exploration of the limits of the abilities of these machines. Also, I still cannot find a university that list Bachelor of Computing (B.Comp) as a degree that they offer, can anyone show a list of which schools offer such a degree, or else I would recommend a merge between this and B.CS..--AlphaTwo 19:54, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

• The University of Guelph through it's joint program with Humber College offers a Bachelor of Applied Computing degree.
