History of the city: 14 centuries are missing
[edit]At least 14: a short mention of C2 BCE, with a few words about 1 century later, and then nothing till C13 CE! Generalities about Mesopotamia or the region around Babylon are masking 14-15 centuries of zero info about the city, town, village, whatever! Far from ideal. Nothing excavated from these 1400 years, no sources for them? I came looking for info on C3 CE, i.e. if a mention on another page isn't wrongly linked here, but found nothing. So it's not just theoretical. Arminden (talk) 23:58, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
Hebrew Bible sourcing
[edit]There are a number of references, in different formats and many broken, pointing to verses in the Hebrew Bible. If someone was familiar with the wikipedia Bibleverse template and feels like sorting them all out that would be good. Ploversegg (talk) 19:10, 20 August 2024 (UTC)

Discrepancy with article on Seleucia about depopulation of Babylon
[edit]The article about Seleucia states: "To make his capital into a metropolis, Seleucus forced almost all inhabitants of Babylon, except the local temple priests/supporting workers, to leave and resettle in Seleucia.", without citation. The article about Babylon makes no mention of this in the section about the Hellenistic era (not even mentioning that it was under Seleucid control for most of that era). This seems important, but I don't know what a proper source would be. AdamChrisR (talk) 01:13, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
Ehem
[edit]You should mention that when USA illegally invaded Iraq and murdererd Saddam Hussein they built their military base there and used the ruins as latrines, tagged the babylon city walls full of bad words and stole pieces of the walldæs just to make fun of the Babylon history. ~2025-40044-64 (talk) 09:39, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
