Overall: @Rhododendrites: Both hooks look like they'll do well, although a few changes need to be made to ALT1 to make it read better.   • @Freedom4U: Thanks. No objections to ALT1a, although it may call for more wikilinks at the end. there is clearly a drum hit at the start of the sound, or at least in the example posted on the page.

that's not OR, that's using-one's-ears.

I was going to say that pretty much is OR, but the tags at Freesound (where this was originally posted) do include "drum". DS (talk) 17:56, 11 April 2023 (UTC)

It's a case of "this is the only free example we could find". It's not a perfect reproduction of the Inception sound and isn't actually taken from any of the trailers. The person who created it seemed to be trying to reproduce the sound using the tools at his disposal. No objection to someone finding an alternative that uses a strict interpretation of what the sources talk about. — Rhododendrites ^talk \\ 18:42, 11 April 2023 (UTC)

Pitch

I've removed the reference to it being mostly C. Firstly, the assertion is supported by neither of the refs for the text around there. Yes, the first one does mention a C but it is so glancing and tangential as to be irrelevant, and cannot support the removed text. Secondly, the example here given is on a D so it rather awkwardly makes a semi-liar out of the text straight away. It did say mostly, yes, and I get it that we can only use the examples we can get, but it does seem a shame to assert one thing and illustrate another in contradiction. Maybe a different-pitched example would be possible one day, and/or a ref that supports the pitch claim, but until then I feel that this cannot be in there. 2A00:23EE:1398:148C:3145:2E27:4777:672B (talk) 22:15, 11 April 2023 (UTC)

Lost

I always thought the BRAAAM is the logical continuation of the Lost Opening Title sound. No reference for that, so nothing to enter, but I really think the BRAAAM is just a further dramatized and shortened version of the latter. --denny vrandečić (talk) 22:08, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
