I'm in a Virginia library with limited access to local Kentucky history. Although his name seems unusual, several of men in the family shared it, making tracing him through the census difficult, without local geographical expertise.~~ Jweaver28 (talk) 20:57, 28 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

In Arndt Stickles, Simon Bolivar Buckner: Borderland Knight (1940), noted in the article as a source, this Aylett Hartswell Buckner, the father of the general and governor Simon Bolivar Buckner, has these birth and death dates--1793-1852.
