Vandalised

This article has recently been vandalised many times, with someone adding three definitions of what he himself thinks is awesome, which is generally along the lines of "the drummer of band X is awesome! Awesome means that say a rubix cube is big, some one says THAT'S AWESOME PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

What I'm adding is not 'silliness". Awesomeness is a philosophical belief that is starting to sweep university campuses. It does have a silly name, but it in itself is not silliness. Do we really want to define "awesome" in Wikipedia? Wiktionary does not ban an extended discussion of a word or its varied usage. Alexander 007 11:01, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

The problem is, there are many other things named "Awesome" like Layla , many of which have Wikipedia articles. We need this article as a disambiguation between them. JIP | Talk 11:55, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism

We need to semi-protect this article due to the incessant vandalism, as was observed almost two years ago. If some of the vandalism was truly humorous it might be another story, but it is entirely foolish, stupid chatter of "so and so is sooo awesome," and vulgar comments.The Fiddly Leprechaun (talk) 23:29, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
