"Lower" vs. "Middle"

It appears that what the World Heritage Committee refers to as the "Lower Awash" is the area described under Middle Awash. The relevant info on the UNSECO website is vague & incomplete, but IMHO "Lower Awash" refers specifically to the Aussa Oasis and the nearby series of lakes while to include the Hadar archeological site is much further upstream. Does someone have better information to make a more accurate determination? -- llywrch 18:13, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
