Discrimination lawsuits

[edit]

There appears to be random edits by new users (possibly sockpuppets of the same user) reverting my edits about an employee discrimination lawsuit. I don't think this is relevant to the article and fails WP:N and WP:NPOV. I think this should be removed. ANDROS1337TALK 17:46, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Lawsuits against a company are relevant matters about a company and are included in other pages of other companies on Wikipedia. The information presented is factual, objective and cited.Floppytail20 (talk) 18:04, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

But does it pass the notability threshold? I doubt it, otherwise, it would be all over the news. ANDROS1337TALK 18:07, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

I agree that this does not fit in the header of this article. If it was a huge story with more significance, maybe, but a random lawsuit doesn't fit here  Preceding unsigned comment added by Blough28 (talkcontribs) 15:19, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

I feel like Floppytail20 is a disgruntled employee or someone very close to the lawsuit to think it belonged. It is a basic lawsuit that every company deals with consistently. There are no further articles on news networks discussing the story. There are thousands of frivolous lawsuits you can attach the court filings to that do not belong. This does not belong especially in the top paragraph. If you found further information or sources you could add it to the "History" section or if it actually had a significant impact it could be its very own section. But after reviewing the sources Floppy attached and doing further research it does not meet any of the requirements to be part of the page.

Wikipedia is not the place to WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS. It is also not a place to list every action that takes place at, for, or against the company. Using the actual lawsuit as a reference is also WP:OR and the other reference is not a reliable source. It is also not fitting for the lede. --CNMall41 (talk) 17:44, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

I believe everyone is in agreement that this sentence does not belong in the article at all let alone the lede. It does not follow WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS WP:OR WP:N or WP:NPOV but Floppytail20 continues to revert any edit made to this section without contributing to this talk page or adding any new sources or information to the page. This needs to be escalated for Admin attention for breaking WP:3RR at the very least

Brand Licensees

[edit]

I think it would be helpful if we included the licensees for each brand (such as SPARC, Centric Brands, etc.), since ABG doesn't directly manufacture clothes. ANDROS1337TALK 15:11, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Per an email sent out to Rockport customers on August 6, 2023, Authentic Brands Group will be acquiring the Rockport brand as of August 7, 2023 Ckirpbyx (talk) 22:25, 6 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Catalyst Brands

[edit]

This article doesn't mention Catalyst Brands, but Authentic Brands Group seems to have a close relationship with that company. What is the exact relationship? — BarrelProof (talk) 02:43, 31 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
