There is a need for a 1988 Bicentennary article, and not just a loop between DAB and this? SatuSuro 06:33, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'd go further and suggest that the offical Australian Bicentenary only refers to the celebrations in 1988. - Shiftchange 00:35, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- Seven years on, I have come here to make exactly that same point. The 1970 celebrations are worthy of note as background, but they were never described at the time as "Australian Bicentenary", "Bicentenary of Australia" or anything like that. Events in 1970 should NOT take pride of place in an article that should be all about what happened in 1988. -- Jack of Oz [Talk] 22:53, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
