History section requiring a citation

[edit]

Hi all, hi @Significa liberdade, @Salvio giuliano, @Curb Safe Charmer,

Responding to your suggestion that the History section requires a citation, may I suggest the following article from 2015 that I found?

https://www.investresearch.net/aurelius-aktienanalyse/ MarkAurel2005 (talk) 15:10, 2 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Could you tell us which information, specifically, this source verifies? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:12, 2 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Significa liberdade,
thanks for checking in. I actually found an even better source: the official 2006 annual report. It can be used as a reference for the initial capital (page 42), the founders (page 6), and the listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (page 10). This citation is also used in the German version of the Wikipedia page.

New paid editor

[edit]

Hello @Significa liberdade, @Salvio giuliano, @Curb Safe Charmer.

My predecessor as paid editor for AURELIUS is leaving the company and will no longer contribute to this page. As his successor, I will do so from now on. I am aware of previous interactions and I will be extra cautious when it comes to proposing edits.

In this context, I have a question regarding our founder's (Dirk Markus) personal Wikipedia pages in English and German, which have also not been updated in a while. My question is: can I suggest edits to the Dirk Markus' Talk pages in the same way my predecessor has dealt with suggestions for AURELIUS' corporate profiles?

Thank you. MarkAurel2005 (talk) 11:18, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

MarkAurel2005: Are you saying you took over the account from the person who previously used it? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 16:45, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes. My predecessor has left AURELIUS. MarkAurel2005 (talk) 21:03, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the clarification. Per Wikipedia policy, you are not allowed to take over someone else's account. You will need to create a brand new account that represents you as an individual. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 22:20, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
With that in mind, you'll also want to read Wikipedia's payment disclosure policy so you don't end having the same troubles as your predecessor. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 22:21, 7 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
OK so this will by my last message here, before I open a new account: could you answer my question regarding the Dirk Markus personal account please? MarkAurel2005 (talk) 10:32, 8 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
No problem. You can still request edits to the articles. Make sure you follow the guidelines related to paid editing (you are a paid editor) and editing with a conflict of interest. Additionally, when you make the updates, you'll want to ensure you are adding information based on what is written in reliable sources, preferably ones that are independent of the subject. WP:GNG

[edit]

I've added the GNG template to the article; I've been struggling to find good sources but it certainly looks like there should be enough to dodge an AFD, I think someone just needs a better sense of the sources for this topic, but for now I still think the article's quite weak, source-wise. ~2026-34199-65 (talk) 15:44, 26 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

OK let's start this slowly: we opened an office in Tokyo on 1 June 2026, which is why I added Tokyo to the intro section. We published a press release which was covered by DealStreet Asia. Would you be able to make this change please?
As an aside: as a firm, we are not high-profile enough to receive external media coverage for each of our announcements, hence we are often left to quote ourselves as it were. And even the coverage we do get, as in this case, is a direct response to our PRs, so I don't know what this adds in terms of independent coverage. MarkAurel2026 (talk) 14:01, 2 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
PS I am not sure whether I should know this, but I have no idea what GNG or AFD mean. MarkAurel2026 (talk) 14:03, 2 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
