Questionable dates

[edit]

From the first version of this article it had him at the Council of Auxerre in 585 or '681' - long after his own death - so I've amended this to 578 as in other sources.

His birthdate is also oft cited as 573 which is patently wrong - he'd have been chairing a synod at age 5! It's probably the date he became bishop. I've amended to "c.540" as found at Dictionary by D.F. Robinson, 1827 .

His deathdate is shown in that source as 25 September 604 or 605; yet Catholic Encyclopedia, 2003 says 25 September 601; and the original version of this article said 603. Due to the confusion I've left it as "c.603" for now - someone with more time could check the various references.
