[edit]Aule - could be come out of "anvil" (Etruscan)= year(Eng.) . In this case, the meaning would be = "for one yaer" i.e. - consul (a consul was chosen for one year, along with another one - so they were "duumviri" = two men), or magistrate. Larsporsenna (talk) 11:46, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
