Who coined term "sociology"?

This article says that Comte coined the term "sociology". The article on Emmanuel Joseph Sieyes, and, indeed, the Simple English Wikipedia article on sociology say Sieyes did this. Which is correct? I had always thought the term was coined by Comte, but my background is in psychology rather than sociology. YTKJ (talk) 21:21, 15 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
