The homepage of this project makes no mention of branch balancing and from what I can tell AUFS3 doesn't support this feature. Also it's not included in the Linux kernel as someone mentioned above, at least not on Arch Linux. Enverex (talk) 08:02, 13 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

It depends on what you mean by branch balancing. If you mean that it attempts to move data around to maintain roughly the same free space on each drive, then no it doesn't. It can do Round Robbin, Most Free Space, A RR Most Free Space, and pmfs where the directory already exists. I've read that this has kernel level access in Ubuntu.
