List of names

[edit]

Why was the list of names removed? Doctorfluffy 02:09, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

No idea. Add it back if you want. Remember 13:03, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Audrey Holies

[edit]

The Manual of Style for DAB pages says red links should only be added if the exist elsewhere on another page, as this makes it likely someone will take them up and make an article. On a DAB page there's little chance this will happen.

If the person trying to add Ms Holies to the site wants her listed here the best thing would be first to create an article (though a registered user would need to do that), with at least enough information to identify her and indicate why she's notable (otherwise it will probably be deleted). Then only after that add a link here.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 22:13, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Derivation?

[edit]

The article says Audrey "is the Anglo-Norman form of the Anglo-Saxon name Æðelþryð". Can anything more specific be said of how Audrey came from Æðelþryð? It's not clear how these two sounds are even related. JKeck (talk) 20:53, 12 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
