Article creation
[edit]This article fills a gap in Wikipedia. I don't know a (expletive deleted) thing about Mileage Plan but I will start to write it. Please don't try to delete this article. There are frequent flyer articles for nearly all airlines. Whiskeymouth (talk) 07:12, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- I would agree that it is sufficiently notable for an article as there are many independent sources as well as sources showing notable 3rd-parties who are affiliated to the programme. Care needs to be taken to ensure it is neutral. → AA (talk) — 09:20, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
Rename?
[edit]Given that Alaska has renamed its Mileage Plan (due to the merger with Hawaiian), I think this page needs to be renamed and all the references in the article to Mileage Plan updated to Atmos Rewards. Is there someone who can help with that? 130.76.25.52 (talk) 20:32, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
- I don't understand the phrase "due to the merger with Hawaiian". I would think they could merge and just continue calling it "Mileage Plan", but maybe I'm missing something. Was there a need to rename the program? — BarrelProof (talk) 18:05, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
I believe we must stay true to Wikipedia over any loyalty to any airline. The title of this article is "Atmos Rewards". As such, we should write about it. Some history of related plans, like Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan and Hawaiian Miles, may be included but it should be secondary to Atmos Rewards. In contrast, if we were to have loyalty of the airline over Wikipedia, which we should not, then we could trace it from Mileage Plan. There is a slight difference.
