It doesn't even include a logo of AsureQuality
[edit]Hi, There! wondering why It doesn't even include a logo of AsureQuality. can someone please add its logo! It doesn't even include a logo of AsureQuality http://www.asurequality.com/app/templates/default/images/AsureQuality-Logo.png
- Company logos are copyrighted to the companies, and Wikipedia prefers to show free content. We do show some company logo making a case under the "fair use" provisions of US law for an exemption from copyright. This is extra work for us, so usually we don't bother except for very major corporations with very well known logos.-gadfium 19:14, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
- Added logo and new citations for the topics to the best of my knowledge. New to the wiki as a contributor so apologises for the mistakes in advance.
- Vikasanandaclick (talk) 06:23, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- The logo you added seems fine. It's certainly OK as {{Non-free logo}}, but might even be simple enough to be within the public domain per c:COM:New Zealand. The text content, however, that you've been adding might be a bit iffy; the idea is to look for sources like the ones described here that cover the company and provide critical commentary about the company that aren't really generated by the company. Sometimes a WP:PRIMARY source can be used, but the article is not really intended to be a Wikipedia version of the company's official website or a Wikipedia brochure for the company. Lots of the content you've added seems a bit WP:PROMOTIONAL and it might be better to trim some of it out; in other words, addition by subtraction. Finally, your account is quite new and one of the first things you started doing was asking about this article or editing this article. In fact, your entire focus has been this article. Are you connected to the company in any way? If you are, please take the time to carefully read through Wikipedia:Conflict of interest so that you gain a better grasp of the kinds of things Wikipedia expects from editors who edit articles about subjects they're connected to. I'm not saying you're committed some grave offense by editing the article, but an WP:APPARENTCOI can sometimes create problems with other editors; so, you might want to try and understand why that sometimes happens. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:40, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

AsureQuality is a government-owned food assurance company in New Zealand. Please could the following updates be considered for this listing.
\* What I think should be changed: Remove the statement: AsureQuality has over 1700 staff at over 100 locations throughout New Zealand. Suggest replacing it with: It operates six laboratories in New Zealand, three of which provide testing for food safety and quality, with the remainder being specialist facilities for seed testing, plant health and pest identification.
\* Why it should be changed: The figures relating to staff numbers and locations are no longer current. It's difficult to find a reliable external reference that will remain accurate over time. The number of laboratories is a more easily verifiable figure, less subject to change, and still gives an indication as to the size and operations of the company.
\* References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): [1]
\* What I think should be changed: Remove the statement about AsureQuality's joint venture with Bureau Veritas. Replace it with: AsureQuality has a joint venture with Mérieux NutriSciences - Mérieux NutriSciences AQ (MNAQ) - which provides food assurance services in Southeast Asia and Australia.
\* Why it should be changed: Mérieux NutriSciences has now acquired Bureau Veritas’ stake in the BVAQ joint ventures.
\* References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): [2]
\* What I think should be changed: Remove this sentence: Following the merger the company employed more than 1700 staff at 140 sites throughout New Zealand and Australia with its primary laboratory in Gracefield, New Zealand.
\* Why it should be changed: The statement about the location of the primary laboratory is not correct, and the figures are now out of date.
\* References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button):
\* What I think should be changed: Remove this section: In 2008 AsureQuality entered a partnership with the Hospitality Standards Institute to provide food safety training for the hospitality sector. In 2010 it opened a wine-certification laboratory in Auckland; in 2013 it expanded its Christchurch food-testing laboratory. In May 2010 it was among a group of SOEs valued for possible sale by the New Zealand government. In April 2016 the company acquired Australian laboratory-testing provider Dairy Technical Services. In November 2020 the company was fined $66,000 after pleading guilty to two breaches of the Health and Safety at Work Act over an incident in which seven workers suffered chemical burns while cleaning a Mycoplasma bovis-infected farm in 2018.
\* Why it should be changed: These statements cover only a short period of the company history and don't describe the history of the main areas of the business. For a more balanced overview, the section could be re-written to include pre-merger history and more recent events. As this would require on-going updates however, we suggest that removing this section would be simplest and easiest to maintain.
\* References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button):
\* What I think should be changed: Suggest removing the Services section and replacing with a shortened list of Areas of operation, as follows:
Areas of operation
- Auditing and certification to local and international regulatory and retailer standards for horticulture, food manufacturing, dairy manufacturing, on-farm and environmental programmes [3]
- Ante-mortem and post-mortem meat inspection[4]
- Food testing and analysis to regulatory and retailer standards for quality and safety, composition and contaminants [5]
- Seed testing and certification for arable, dairy, and livestock farming and export [6]
- Plant and pest taxonomy and pathology services[7][8]
- Market assurance services for independent verification of product claims [9]
- NZQA-approved food safety training [10]
\* Why it should be changed: These changes remove out of date information and provide more neutral descriptions of each area of operation to address previous feedback that some content is too promotional.
\* References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): It is difficult to find external sources but I have updated the references to company website which had become out of date for each point above.
- What I think should be changed: In the corporate stats box, please make the following changes - remove the number of locations, update number of employees to 1500, remove Animal Welfare and Apiculture from Services and add Inspection and Auditing instead.
- Why it should be changed: To update out of date figures, and more accurately describe services.
