what happened to all of the information on this page?
I came to learn about assyrian history and can't find anything!! Is there anyone who knows enough about ancient assyria to edit this page so i can learn more? If so, it would be greatly appreciated. I need to know all about assyrians. Thank you.

I noticed the article says the earliest archaeological evidence at Assur goes back to around 2600 BC. But a more recent radiocarbon study from beneath the Ishtar Temple suggests the site may have been occupied earlier, around 2900 BC (calibrated range c. 2896–2702 BC). If this study is considered reliable, it might be worth updating the article to reflect this, or at least adding it alongside the current date so readers can see there’s newer evidence. Would other editors be open to looking at whether this source is strong enough to use here? Historylover2000 (talk) 08:39, 30 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
